Ca’ di Press: The Family Barolo, Between Roots and Vision

Go to website

The history of Ca’ di Press goes back to the early 1900s, closely tied to the Pressenda family and their land: the Langhe.

The name Ca’ di Press itself means “House of the Pressenda” in the Piedmontese dialect, a direct reference to a family heritage proudly passed down through generations.

Originally, the wine production was intended exclusively for the family and a small circle of trusted clients. Over time, the vineyards also began to be cultivated for the sale of grapes and bulk wine, but it was only in 2018 that the story took a decisive step.

Alice and Cristina, the new protagonists of the family project, chose to give voice to their own vision and signed the first Ca’ di Press Barolo label, marking the beginning of a new era.

The wines of Ca’ di Press faithfully reflect the family’s philosophy: respect for nature, minimal intervention, and absolute authenticity. In the vineyard, a sustainable approach is followed, while in the cellar spontaneous fermentations take place without fining or filtration, letting time guide every phase. Stabilization happens naturally during winter thanks to tanks placed outside the cellar that use the seasonal cold.

Ca’ di Press is a return to origins, but also a clear and aware look toward the future.

It is the voice of a family, a land, and a tradition that continues to evolve without ever losing its identity.
