The origin of the estate is recent, as it was only founded in 1982 by Jean Marc in the so-called Nuits-Saint-George.

As of today, it counts with eight hectares on the Cote de Nuits (with the exception of Savigny), well known in the world for its Pinot Noir. Here the wine denominations produced are: Bourgogne, Cote de Nuits Villages, Savigny-lès-Beaune, Vosne Romanée Village, Vosne Romanée Premier Cru “les Suchots”, and also three Grands Cru, which are Clos de Vougeot, Echezeaux, and Grands Echezeaux.

After helping her dad Jean Marc from 2014 to 2016, Alix took charge of the domaine, entirely taking care of every aspect of the wine production. The biological method is the one she uses in the vineyards, while in the cellar the fermentation is spontaneous. Alix knows that every year is different and unique, and that most of the job to make wine is done in the vineyards, where the grapes reveal themselves.

Thanks to the exchange of ideas among other people, and wine tastings with other producers, Alix was able to sharpen and refine her technique, producing different straightforward kinds of wine, which are able to tell the story of a land, even in the “simpler” wine appellation where as of today we can see an alternation between used and new woods.
