A born expert and descendant of a prestigious winemaking dynasty, Édouard Confuron represents the sixth generation of his family, inheriting a savoir-faire rooted in the most authentic Burgundy. Born at the heart of Domaine Confuron, historically led by his mother Françoise Confuron-Grinder, Édouard grew up among vineyards and cellars, developing from a young age a deep passion for wine and the terroir of Vosne-Romanée.
Driven by the desire to express a personal vision without altering the family Domaine’s style, Édouard chose an independent and courageous path: he founded his own micro-Domaine, vinifying small parcels of family-owned vineyards. The cellar is located on rue de La Tâche in Vosne-Romanée, one of the most emblematic addresses in the wine world.
His first vintage, 2021, was met with great enthusiasm, revealing a mature style combining precision, finesse, and depth. In the vineyard, Édouard works with rigor and sensitivity, favoring a natural and low-intervention approach. In the cellar, the winemaking aims to express the purest fruit character, avoiding any form of over-extraction or technical artifice.
Domaine Édouard Confuron has quickly established itself as one of the most exciting emerging estates in Vosne-Romanée. It represents a perfect balance between tradition and innovation, where respect for family history blends with a bold and deeply personal vision of wine.
